Transparency Radio

For those who are unaware, I am an avid follower and collector of a particular style of dance music called Drum & Bass and have been for over a decade.

Nowdays Drum & Bass has an array of different sub-genres, without going to far into it, I subscribe to brand of what is known as 'techstep' which is currently more commonly referred to as 'deep' or 'atmospheric'. Since early in the 2000's I've been captivated by the intrinsic soundscape qualities and progressive nature of the futuristic sound, something that seems to have only developed further with age.

Transparency Radio is a new project I decided to pursue earlier this year which has basically formed as a result of recent online developments. The worldwide acceptance and uptake of entities such as SoundCloud, LastFM, Mixcloud and Mixlr have completely changed the accessiblity and conduct of music, especially in dance related circles. Fast new embedding and streaming capablities for live audio are better than ever before and the advancements have come thick and fast especially in the last 12 months.

On the 22nd of October 2011 I launched a new media/blog site at: www.transparencyradio.com - for the project and will continue to produce content such as a regular LIVE radio broadcast, podcasts, studio mixes, feature articles, interviews with artists & labels plus a host of reviews and previews.
